Emma is an award-winning copywriter currently residing in Sydney, although she’s originally from England. Yes, she lives in Bondi. No, her ideas aren’t a cliché too.

9-5ish you’ll find her making ads, which she’s been doing effectively for the past 10 years. Working on everything from telcos to burgers and bras; sometimes with big budgets and others with on a budget, budgets. Her best thinking has been recognised at international awards.

Emma has a real passion for ideas, loves a punchy headline and goes wild for a sticky insight. But she gets most excited creating in the unknown, innovating and problem solving on the fly. If she can’t do it, she’ll learn how.

Although a copywritrer by trade, Emma loves to dabble in the visuals too. She’s happy working either in a team or solo.

5ish-9 you’ll find Emma doing something suprising... or questionable. Past ventures include: Summiting a volcano. Completing a half iron(wo)man. Volunteering in the Amazon rainforest. Trekking the Patagonian ice fields. Fending off a tent obsessed dingo. Being stood up by a great white shark. Reading and completing the wrong diary of Anne Frank. Stealing a goldfish. Surviving two monkey bites. Yes two.

Nice things, nice people say:

There are creative people. There are smart people There are energetic, passionate and charming people. But sadly, there aren’t many people who combine all these attributes.

That’s why Em is such a joy to work with. She brings a bit of everything and I can guarantee the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

        - Ben Welsh, CCO @DDB Sydney

Emma is that rare mix you look for in every creative – sharp, insightful and funny. She also regularly says wildly inappropriate thin
gs, works hard and is guaranteed to improve the culture of any department by 174.2%.

I would not hesitate to recommend her.”

        - Stuart Alexander, CD @The Monkeys

Emma’s humor, empathy and warmth come across in both her dealings with clients, and in the thoughtful and well-crafted copy for their campaigns. She is a keen collaborator, bringing both openness and energy to the department.

        - Barbara Humphries, ECD @The Monkeys

She’s an immensely talented thinker with the ability to deliver her work and ideas with an honesty and authenticity. Emma is an absolute pleasure to be around.
